Downtown Shops Amp up for Holidays
Fredericksburg, VA – When Eileen Griffin opens the Griffin Bookshop and Coffee Bar for the downtown Holiday Open House this weekend, she’s betting on customers–and lots of them–to kick off her holiday sales.
Like most merchants, Griffin makes the majority of her money in November and December, when shoppers turn out in droves to purchase gifts. She’s been getting ready by decorating store windows and marking down her collection of new and used books.
