Glade Spring, VA – Tracey Stanley used to sit and dream about moving her shop into a larger vacant building across the street from her downtown Glade Spring business.

When she closed her eyes, Stanley, who rightfully describes herself as a dreamer, could visualize the entire layout from one end of the building to the other, a far cry from most people who pay little attention to the long-forgotten structure.

No doubt, the sad disrepair of the town square building was enough to raise the eyebrows on most skilled construction workers. The ceiling was falling down, the floor needed replacing and every square foot had lumber, old paint cans and junk piled to the ceiling.
