East Texas Medical Center Pays Tribute to Volunteer With New Gift ShopBy KLTV.com

Tyler, TX – East Texas Medical Center Tyler unveiled its newly-refurbished Gift Shop Friday, and paid tribute to ETMC Tyler Volunteer Eva Denson, whose family made the project possible through a charitable gift. This honor was a surprise for Mrs. Denson, who also celebrated her birthday on Friday.

Marty Wiggins, director of the ETMC Foundation, described Mrs. Denson’s love of working in the ETMC Gift Shop, where she has served since joining the volunteer team in 1998. Her husband, Hugh Denson, passed away in November 2012. While they had no children, he was father to two sons, Jim Denson and Joe Denson.

“Jim, his wife Linda, and Joe decided this year to find a way to show Eva how much she means to their family,” noted Mrs. Wiggins. “We are so pleased that they chose to make a very generous gift in her honor, so that ETMC and all who enter its doors could enjoy a beautiful, refurbished Gift Shop.”
