Edessa, the Siren Ornament

Edessa is part of the “Queen Beez” line of glass ornaments from Jootz LLC. The mouth-blown glass balls are hand-painted and -decorated, using a variety of whimsical materials. Inspired by the “Sirens” in Homer’s poem, The Odyssey, Edessa features ribbons, trims, glitter tulle, faux hair, and sea shells.

Displayed by many customers year-round, the line is divided into seven categories: Seasonal; Celebrations; Fashionistas; Holiday (Christmas); The Sirens; Busy Beez; and, Breast Cancer Survivor Gifts. Edessa is in The Sirens collection, an assortment of beach-oriented designs.

The 4” ball is of high quality, as are all materials used in construction. Jootz started selling the ornaments in the Philadelphia area more than five years ago, and has developed a loyal and ever-growing following of collectors. The Queen Beez are now carried in more than 50 stores across the U.S.

Every design is limited edition; no more than two hundred of each will be produced. Suggested retail price is $45 – $65. Minimum order of 24 balls. Clear plastic cylinders are available for packaging and display.
