Everybody’s Ayurveda LLC Introduces Soyveda: First Ayurvedic Candle and Home Décor Collection Available Exclusively to Independent Retailers

Americans are already familiar with yoga, meditation and massage, all part of what’s known as Ayurveda, a system of holistic medicine that dates back more than 5,000 years. More than 30 million Americans practice yoga, the most common introduction to Ayurveda, which literally means “wisdom for a healthy life.” What if a line of candles, gifts and décor could promote wellness and balance in any environment? That’s exactly the driving mission behind Soyveda, the first collection available from Everybody’s Ayurveda. Based on the principles of Ayurveda, Soyveda is the first to market with a unique eco-friendly collection of Ayurvedic candles and home décor using 100-percent soy wax and a combination of organic and naturally derived fragrances designed to promote balance in one’s environment. The hand-blown glass vessel can also be repurposed in multiple ways. The Soyveda collection will launch during winter gift markets and is available exclusively to independent retailers. Everybody’s Ayurveda is an MVP Group company, joining sister companies Colonial Candle® and Midwest-CBK.

The Soyveda gift line features first-to-market eco-conscious design combined with Ayurvedic philosophies. According to Ayurveda, three energies, known as doshas, exist in each person and the universe: Vata, Pitta and Kapha. The three doshas must be in balance to experience optimum health and prevent disease, but that balance can be affected by lifestyle, diet, stress and environment. Soyveda’s core fragrances are based on ancient Ayurvedic herbal healing recipes. A simple quiz – available at Soyveda.com – can determine if one of the doshas is more prominent, and guide individuals toward which dosha product to use to achieve balance and promote wellness.

The multi-purpose Soyveda Ayurvedic candles retail for $28 each and are 100-percent soy, vegan, chemical-free and cruelty-free. The 100-percent soy wax is made from a renewable, sustainable resource and has a cleaner burn than paraffin. Additionally, soy’s low melting point means fragrance is dispersed faster, and its larger wax pool results in more fragrance in the air.

The candles are packaged in decorative multi-use keepsake tins, and the candles’ hand-blown, one-of-a-kind glass vessels become candle holders that can be reused in numerous ways. Very little of the packaging needs to be thrown away – but if it is, most of the tin’s material can be recycled.

Soyveda candles are available in six dosha-inspired fragrances and glass colors based on Ayurvedic healing formulas, including:

Vata (amber glass): Top notes of sparkling citrus, water lily, gardenia and wild jasmine are a perfect introduction to the core of this complex blend. The fragrance unravels with middle notes of apple blossoms, ylang, peach and warm spices. Clean musk and woody nuances perfectly finish this multi-layered Ayurvedic scent. Ingredients include bergamot, clove bud, coriander, orange and ylang ylang. Fragrance inspires focus and calmness.

Pitta (sage glass): The sweetness of sun-ripened juniper berries intertwines with delicate sprigs of fresh mint. Fresh aquatic accords and lush blossoms unite with dewy green foliage and fresh herbs. Soothing undertones of precious woods, velvety moss and sheer musk balances the finish. Ingredients include bergamot, anise, cardamom, cedar wood, clary sage, clove bud, fir needle, geranium, juniper berry, lavender, lemon, orange, patchouli, rosemary, spearmint and thyme. Fragrance inspires serenity and promotes peace.

Kapha (blue glass): Float away with the freshness of invigorating mint combined with crystalline ozonic notes and delicate floral of muguet and cyclamen merged to create the sparkling top note of this healthful accord. Middle notes are a symphony of aquatic floral. Smooth woody tonalities intermingled with warm amber and clean musk round and define bringing this healing blend to a graceful conclusion. Ingredients include bergamot, geranium, orange and peppermint. Fragrance inspires invigoration.

Tridosha (purple glass): A rich accord of spices, vanilla, amber, dark musks and precious woods supports a floral bouquet of jasmine, rose and camellia and a burst of mandarin, bergamot and orange with accents of citrus leaves on the top. Ingredients include bergamot, mandarin, orange, patchouli. Fragrance promotes balance.

Namaste (deep red glass): The delightful combination of citrus infused tea mixes with sparkling bergamot and freshly squeezed lemon for a refreshing introduction. Soft rose petals and crushed ginger are wrapped in crisp green tea leaves for a passionate heart. The background is a lavish blend of cedar wood, musk and amber for added depth and texture. Ingredients include bergamot and orange. Fragrance promotes gratitude.

Bliss (clear glass): Essence of blooming jasmine, gardenia, tuberose, lily-of-the-valley and honeysuckle is combined with India’s most exotic spices and herbs. Fragrance inspires happiness.

The Soyveda line also includes:
• Three accessory sets packaged in keepsake tins. Each set is designed to promote dosha balance, but customers can use any color glass vessel with any accessory set:

“We’re ecstatic to bring independent retailers this innovative Ayurvedic brand through the Soyveda collection,” says Maura Utley, president of Everybody’s Ayurveda LLC. “Not only does Soyveda meet the demand for eco-friendly products and use organic materials, pure soy wax and the world’s finest ingredients, but it’s groundbreaking in its multi-purpose design. Since the candle’s glass vessel turns into a candleholder, and can be used ten different ways, you don’t have to throw it away once the candle is used. Every item in the Soyveda collection can be repurposed, even the packaging. Ayurveda is all about living in harmony with the environment and choosing natural products to live a healthier lifestyle. Western medicine is acknowledging more Eastern holistic healing philosophies. Doctors are prescribing yoga, meditation and massage to patients to manage stress, prevent injuries, alleviate back pain and reduce symptoms caused by various diseases. Ayurvedic spas and products are on the rise to meet consumer demand. Soyveda is a natural fit for the gift channel. What’s better than giving someone the gift of good health?”

In addition to the Soyveda collection of candles and accessories, Everybody’s Ayurveda is also introducing Soulveda™ home décor. The collection features exotic home accents made from naturally inspired materials and include a Large Seated Buddha ($50), Om Pillows offered in two colors ($24), Ganesh and Buddha Trinkets ($12) and a Carved Elephant Accent ($40).
