FAM Brands Gains International Style and Broadens Children’s Appeal With Recently Acquired La Vie Jet Setter

In August, retailers will see the unveiling of the inaugural girls’ and women’s collections from upscale La Vie Jet Setter®, following its acquisition by FAM Brands this past April, with shipping due to start in January 2014 for Spring 2014. The refreshing line debuted at the August ENK Children’s show at the Piers in New York.

La Vie Jet Setter®, which has already seen enormous success at retailers such as Kitson’s, Denny’s and Lester’s (and has been the featured kids’ brand at Kitson’s “Fashion Night Out”), is inspired, according to designer Dela Emami, by the jet setting spirit of San Tropez and the South of France, combined with unique designs, gorgeous colors and luxuriously soft fabrics. “Brigitte Bardot and her bold attitude and understated style largely define the aura of La Vie Jet Setter®,” Emami says.

The launch of La Vie Jet Setter® as a FAM Brands brand will be geared towards better, prestigious department and specialty stores and online retailers and will feature a comprehensive children’s collection in sizes for girls aged 6 – 24 months, 2T – 6x and 7 – 14, together with 20 to 25 contemporary women’s styles of tops, bottoms and dresses to be introduced a few months later. “La Vie Jet Setter® will ultimately offer a complete mother/daughter experience,” enthuses FAM Brands Sales Manager, Gwen Burnett. Retail prices will be in the $35 – $85 range for girls, and $55 – $220 for women.

LA-based Emami, whose hugely successful Delaram women’s line has been the choice of celebrities such as Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon, draws on the experience of early years spent in London, Paris, Washington, New York and the South of France to provide her with the global inspiration for La Vie Jet Setter® designs. “La Vie Jet Setter® is an outstanding brand and Delaram Emami is a prodigiously talented designer,” said FAM Brands owner and CEO, Frank Zarabi, announcing the inking of the April deal that added La Vie Jet Setter® to his company’s burgeoning portfolio. “It is a perfect fit for us—it strengthens our offering in a vital area—children’s wear—and broadens our representation across the price spectrum.”
