FNW’s Annual Home Event

New York — With real estate and home matters in the forefront of everyone’s mind, Fashion News Workshop’s upcoming Annual Home Event will address some of these timely issues with an emphasis on looking to the future of interior style, real estate and cooking trends.

To be held in the ultramodern showroom of Sub-Zero/Wolf, known for its top-of-the-line kitchen appliances, the co-chairs of the event—Larry Rich, vice president and associate broker at Prudential Douglas Elliman, and Jerry Dellova, freelance design director—have organized a program that will include talks by a diverse group of well-known and admired industry leaders, a scrumptious lunch, as well as exciting raffle prizes donated by One Meaning Couture jewelry and Rosemarie Hittmeyer Ceramics.

Rich, who five years ago transitioned his career “from fashion to fashionable real estate,” will reveal where to find real estate opportunities in the current economic climate and present an update on the changing face of commercial and residential real estate in New York’s garment center.

Patty Bouley, founder of Bouley Design Inc. and a member of IFDA, will present “International Influences on Trends, Color, Style & Living.” As an international designer with clients in Tokyo, Paris, London and New York, Bouley will be sharing the trends, colors, inspirations and changing markets her keen eye forecasts for 2010 and beyond. With an overview of the most recent international trade shows—Paris’ Maison et Objet and the Milan Furniture Show—she will divulge her newest discoveries and the most important trends.

Sub-Zero/Wolf is not only hosting the event but is offering a demonstration by one of the company’s renowned in-house culinary experts. As a special treat, Dan Teitelbaum, aka Chef Coleman, a Sub-Zero and Wolf corporate chef for more than seven years, will demonstrate some of the company’s newest cooktop and oven appliances while preparing lunch for all the attendees.

The FNW home trends event will take place Wednesday April 29th from 12-2 pm at the Sub-Zero/Wolf showroom located at 150 East 58th Street. Space is extremely limited, so tickets will be granted on a first come, first served basis.

Fashion News Workshop is a nonprofit, all-volunteer organization committed to the exchange of directional information in fashion and affiliated businesses.
