Foreside LLC acquires Coynes & Company
Foreside LLC, parent company of Foreside Home and Garden and producer of award-winning furniture and home décor products, has recently acquired Coynes & Company (now known as Coynes), a staple in the giftware industry for the past 60 years. The two brands will share creative, administrative, and shipping resources while they continue to operate and develop their respective product lines under each of their own unique brand aesthetics.
Foreside LLC, purchased by a U.S.-based investment group in June of 2015, continues to enhance its strengths in the marketplace. Both brands now enjoy a renewed focus on design with a commitment improved operational and retailer experiences. “Since our change in ownership, we have been able to target the areas identified to us as opportunities for growth and improvement,” said Brianna Raymo, National Sales Manager for Foreside. “We are excited for our retailers to experience the difference.” Foreside will release fresh, new home accents and occasional furniture in January, 2016.
“Under our new direction, we are able to achieve an updated look and feel for our brand and our products, appealing to a broader demographic,” said National Sales Manager for Coynes, Pao Thao. “We are thrilled to be unveiling fresh designs for our garden and apparel categories soon, while also nurturing our branded Williraye product.” Coynes will be launching a brand new fashion line in January, 2016 and a full garden line will debut in May, 2016.
Key shared resources are strategically located in three areas – creative offices for the two brands are located in Maine, the administrative offices in Minnesota, and logistics and shipping out of Virginia. Both Foreside and Coynes are in the process of rebranding and redesigning their web sites, which will be launched in the coming months.
