Fun, Funky and a Little Naughty: Bay Gift Shop Finalist in Martha Stewart Competition
Bay St. Louis, MS – The Mississippi Pickle Fork, the Promised Land Church Fan and the Front Porch Rockin’ Duster are not what tourists would usually find at a souvenir shop, but The Screaming Porch in Bay St. Louis is anything but typical.
After Hurricane Katrina, Kelsey Rickenbaker-Bigelow, along with husband Jason, moved to North Carolina where he took a position at a Baldhead Island resort.
Although the resort was only accessible by ferry, Bigelow said visitors to the island couldn’t buy a souvenir that was made local or specific to the area.
