What woman doesn’t like to indulge in a little retail therapy?

That is the question Celeste Saltzman has been banking on for the past year as owner of the Saginaw Township women’s boutique, Retail Therapy, 30 N. Center at the corner of Gratiot.

“Women like to shop and I didn’t want to give anyone sticker shock,” said Saltzman on the idea behind her unique, yet affordable, boutique.

The shop offers things that cannot be found anywhere else in the Great Lakes Bay region, said Saltzman, who added she sells limited quantities of each item she carries.

“It’s a small community and women don’t like to see themselves coming and going,” she said.

The store carries clothing in sizes XS-XL and prices range from $10 to $300.

Another special touch: The store gift-wraps everything at no extra cost, Saltzman said.

The store carries everything from unique books and handcrafted jewelry to jeans, tops, handbags, scarves and dresses. The Balm brand makeup is also sold, along with Lollia fragrances and spa products.

She said new items come to the store almost every week.

“I try to keep things fresh so people have something to come back for,” Saltzman said.
