Georg Jensen wins GIA Award at Inspired Home Show
The year 2022 marks the first time Georg Jensen has exhibited at the Inspired Home Show and its new SKY Drinking Bottles were named the winner of the IHA Global Innovation Award (GIA) for Sustainable Product Design.
Designed by Aurélien Barbry, these everyday items become elevated by the use of sculptural and asymmetric shapes. A natural extension of the modern lifestyle, SKY Drinking Water Bottles are ergonomic and comfortable to the touch but remain true to their purpose.
By cherishing beautiful design and reusing the bottles, there is a reduction in the use of traditional plastic bottles, which helps save the earth’s resources and minimize waste and pollution. The water bottle is dishwasher safe and suitable for cold drinks. Available in stainless-steel with a leather strap and four colors — blue, rose, green and gray — in plastic with a stainless-steel lid. The retail price is $35 for the plastic bottles; $69 for the stainless-steel.
GIA is a housewares industry awards program, covering the industry as a whole, both retailers and manufacturers/designers, worldwide. Since the launch of GIA in 2000, there have been close to 350 GIA retail award winners, from 40 countries on six continents.
