GHTA Hosts “Evolve or Die” Industry Summit at NY NOW

The Gift and Home Trade Association (GHTA), the industry’s non-profit professional trade association, will host a special roundtable dialogue focusing on key issues impacting our industry – now and in the future – at the summer 2013 NY NOW®, the Market for Home & Lifestyle (formerly NYIGF®). The roundtable, an invitation-only industry summit sponsored by Gifts and Decorative Accessories, and GHTA, will take place on Monday, August 19, at the Javits Center, and results will be published by GHTA white paper following the event.

The roundtable will feature numerous industry experts representing all sectors of the gift and home industry. Confirmed guests include Jake Bronstien, with Flint and Tinder, Joe Fahy, with TAG, Kris Kaplan, with Kris & Co., Mike Thorne, with Yankee Candle, and Fred Pannek, with Mud Pie. Warren Shoulberg, editorial director of Gifts and Decorative Accessories, will moderate the event.

“GHTA continues to connect, learn, and contribute with industry events like these,” noted John Keiser, CEO of OneCoast and president of the GHTA. “We look forward to hearing the results of this discussion and believe it will be very beneficial to our industry.”

“NY NOW provides the perfect backdrop for a high-level exploration of issues – and opportunities – impacting our industry,” said Christian Falkenberg, NY NOW director and senior vice president of GLM. “We’re delighted to partner with GHTA to host this event at NY NOW.”

Those interested in submitting questions to the panel may do so by emailing GHTA at info@giftandhome.org by August 7.
