Gift shop at the forefront of digitalBy NorthumberlandGazette.co.uk

A Rothbury gift shop has won a competition to have a website and marketing support.

Coccuveda on Bridget Street was one of more than 40 businesses to apply to Newcastle-based Forefront Digital’s first birthday competition.

It means the shop, which sells bespoke crafts and gifts, will get its own website detailing what it sells and where it is as well as marketing and PR support from Presence Communications.

Iain Potter, from Forefront Digital, said: “We chose Coccuveda because not only are they a local business themselves but they also support lots of local craftspeople across Northumberland through selling their items in their Rothbury shop. A website along with marketing and PR support will benefit all these associated businesses.”

Lorraine Lawson, owner of Coccuveda, said: “Over the three years of having the shop I have managed to build up custom from Rothbury and the surrounding area, especially for my bespoke fascinators.

“I feel as if the time is right to take the shop to the next level through a website so this really is such brilliant news. The marketing expertise and professional website on offer will help Coccuveda add new customers to the loyal local following we have built up over our first three years of trading.”
