Global Home Textiles Show Building Momentum to Create Vital Market Resource

White Plains, NY – Key offshore home textiles companies, including a solid showing of more than 100 quality suppliers from China, and a growing roster of focused North American buyers, have confirmed their participation in Global Home Textiles , May 8-10, 2007, at the Orange County Convention Center, in Orlando, FL. The show will feature some 350 companies from 20 countries, in particular the offerings of reputable, export-ready manufacturers from Asia. More than 3,000 visitors are expected to attend, including retailers from every major channel of distribution, as well as wholesalers, importers, exporters, distributors, buying offices, sales agents and product development teams.

“Global Home Textiles exhibitor participation is growing steadily, as word spreads that this is the show for offshore home textiles suppliers to meet the most relevant retailers, wholesalers, importers and distributors in the United States and Canada,” said Penny Sikalis, vice president and group show director. “As the U.S. home textiles industry has shifted toward a global sourcing model, we have positioned Global Home Textiles to meet the needs of a new and changing market. Our targeted efforts to build a marketplace that will fulfill the goals of both vendors and attendees are clearly coming together, resulting in a must-attend event for all players in the global home textiles business.”

Attendees confirming registration for the show are citing the event’s unique business benefits, as the only global sourcing venue of its kind connecting overseas producers with American buyers within the rapidly evolving home textiles industry. New business opportunities and the diversity of offerings available, as well as the time and cost efficiencies provided by the market, are also impacting their decisions. Manufacturers signing-on to exhibit in Global Home Textiles are drawn to the show’s unique access to multiple channels of retail distribution, wholesalers and importers from throughout North America.

Top Chinese producers from the key textiles regions of China that have committed to the show include Hangzhou Hongda Decorative Cloth Weaving, providing high quality fabrics for curtains, bedding, mattresses and upholstery; Zhejiang Yitong Arts & Crafts, specializing in hand and machine-quilted bedding, sheets and decorative pillows; Shandong Cherry Textile Group, a leading manufacturer of decorative fabrics and bedding products; ZiboYungtao Textiles, a major producer of high quality bath and beach towels; Taifeng Textile Group, a fabric and home textiles producer; Jiao Jiang, a manufacturer of furniture, giftware, bedding, curtains and accessories; Rongyi Blanket, a major supplier of high quality knit and print blankets and accessories; Hangzhou Tianhong, producer of decorative upholstery, curtain fabrics, curtains, cushions, furniture covers and table linens; Jinhua Mumi Jiaye Textile & Garment, offering quilts, comforters and bedding sets; Shandong Charming, manufacturing a large range of bedding products, window treatments, shower curtains and table linens; Beijing Jiu Da Import & Export, offering quilts, bedroom ensembles, curtains, cushions and table linens; Zhejiang Feihong, presenting down-filled comforters, pillows, cushions and bedding accessories; and Zhejiang Huaxing, manufacturer of a full range of down-filled bedding products, sheets, quilts and cushions.

Global Home Textiles will offer a full range of educational programming and special events, including a full-day, pre-show conference on May 7, 2007, one day prior to the opening of the show. Specifically targeting offshore manufacturers, this day of the Conference will inform exhibitors about the current state of the U.S. home textiles industry, how to successfully do business in the U.S. and how to maximize participation in trade shows. The next two days of the Conference – held during the Show – will be targeted to buyers and focus on key issues related to sourcing and importing home products for the U.S. market.
