Grandmother’s Buttons Announces 2012-2013 Jewelry Launch
Grandmother’s Buttons is proud to announce the launch of its 2012-2013 jewelry line at the Atlanta Gift Market, July 13-17 and the New York International Gift Fair, August 18-21.
This year’s jewelry is inspired by color and artistry, emphasizing the beauty in the vintage and antique buttons. Throughout the catalog you will find brushes, paints, and sketches from Susan Davis’ mother setting the stage for the jewelry. Along with the classics, they are excited to share a few of their new favorites, including:
– Hand-dyed Lady Washington pearl buttons in three beautiful collections
– Stack-able, adjustable rings with antique buttons, vintage cabochons and cameos
– A full new collection of hand-printed pearl and vintage found object charms
Grandmother’s Buttons began in 1985 when Susan Davis and her 95-year-old grandmother spent an afternoon sifting through the assortment of tins and boxes that held the woman’s lifetime accumulation of buttons. Today they make all of our jewelry by hand with antique and vintage buttons on the second floor of our store, a 1905 bank building. Inside they feature the Button Museum in the old bank vault, housing Davis’ prized collection, ranging from mid-18th century Wedgewood buttons to the first plastic buttons. Along with the retail store, Grandmother’s Buttons sells to over 800 other stores and boutiques around the world and has been featured in numerous national magazines and blogs over the years.
Wholesale customers can find Grandmother’s Buttons at the Atlanta Gift Market (Booth 3-2-300), the New York International Gift Fair (Booth 9218), and online at www.grandmothersbuttons.com . Retail customers can also find them online, at the retail store in St. Francisville, LA, and in the many retailers across the United States.
