High Point Market Authority announces keynote speaker, concert for fall market

The High Point Market Authority (HPMA) announced Architectural Digest Editor-in-Chief Amy Astley as the keynote speaker for its fall market, taking place Saturday, Oct. 25 at 3 p.m. in the High Point Theatre.

Titled “Celebrate a Decade of Design with Amy Astley,” the keynote will offer an insider’s look at her 10-year retrospective, “AD at Home.” Astley will be joined by AD PRO Senior Editor Mel Studach for a candid conversation exploring her editorial vision, the creative forces behind the book, and her leadership shaping the iconic design publication over the past decade.

Published by Rizzoli, “AD at Home” highlights Astley’s most memorable features of architecture, interiors and lifestyle. From actress Julianne Moore’s New York City brownstone to Alicia Keys’s cliffside modernist mansion, the book invites readers into the personal spaces of some of today’s most influential figures in media, art and design.

Sponsored by Architectural Digest and presented by HPMA, the keynote is open to all registered High Point Market attendees.

“It’s a thrill to partner with Architectural Digest to bring the best in design to Fall Market,” said Tammy Covington, HPMA president and CEO. “Amy has spearheaded a remarkable evolution in design storytelling, and Market guests will be inspired by her unique perspective.”

The High Point Theatre is located adjacent to the Transportation Terminal. Doors open at 2:30 p.m. and the program will conclude at 4 p.m. Additional details about the Keynote Series are available at highpointmarket.org/keynoteseries.

HPMA announces The Fray concert during fall market

The HPMA also announced this season’s Sunday evening concert performance as The Fray for its Center Stage venue at High Point Market, on Oct. 26.

Originally rising to prominence in the early 2000s, The Fray introduced a uniquely soul-searching alt-rock sound — timeless yet inventive, arena-sized yet profoundly intimate. Over the years, The Fray has earned four GRAMMY Award nominations, three Billboard Music Awards, multiple Billboard Top 10 hits, and a deeply devoted global fanbase. Their breakout single, “How To Save A Life,” is 11x Platinum, spent 58 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 and became a defining anthem of ABC’s Emmy-winning series “Grey’s Anatomy.”

In partnership with HPMA, the Sunday concert is sponsored by High Point Market exhibitor Schonbek, the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), and the City of Hope.

“We’re so pleased to feature The Fray on the main stage for performance at Fall Market, and to be a special stop on this year’s world tour,” Covington said. “Our guests have access to an incredible entertainment line-up this season, and I’d like to encourage everyone to enjoy the live music, and to relax among colleagues and industry friends just as the weekend’s business activities wind down each day.”

Chalk Hill Wines is the official wine sponsor for Fall Market’s Center Stage weekend concerts; serving a selection of their California varietals throughout Market dates in this location.

A valid Fall 2025 Market pass is required for admission to the Center Stage area located between the Showplace building and the Transportation Terminal. Due to limited capacity, entry will be permitted on a first-come, first-served basis. Early entry for buyers begins at 6:15 p.m. For all other passholders, doors will open at 6:30 p.m. for the 7 p.m. concert. Complimentary food and beverages will be provided. Guests under the age of 15 will not be admitted.

Market registration is offered at no charge to qualified U.S. and international buyers, including retailers, dealers, and professional interior designers — as well as to press, exhibitor representatives and students. A registration fee applies to all other industry professionals.

All qualified registrants will receive a market pass, which is required for entry to all buildings and showrooms within the 13-block Market District.
