Highlights of the Premium Business Program at Christmasworld 2015

How can the number of customers using the bricks-and-mortar trade, i.e., city-center retailers and shopping centers, be increased? The speakers and participants of the third Premium Business Program will discuss the opportunities opened up to the trade by seasonal decorations. “In this age of increasing online purchases, the aim must be to make the on-site shopping experience more attractive. And, to this end, the 920-plus exhibitors from 42 countries at Christmasworld present a huge range of decoration ideas for tempting shop windows and product displays, as well as shop and urban lighting – and, of course, not only for the very busy Christmas period”, says Detlef Braun, Member of the Executive Board of Messe Frankfurt Exhibition GmbH. Covering the spectrum from Advent and Christmas decorations, via seasonal indoor and outdoor decorations, to large-scale decorations for different occasions of the year, Christmasworld from January 30 to February 3, 2015 presents the latest products and trends with which the trade can inspire its customers.

The high-grade Premium Business Program, which was developed by Messe Frankfurt and the German Council of Shopping Centers, is expected to attract over 250 top decision makers for concept decorations in shopping centers, commercial companies, municipalities and urban areas, as well as Christmas market and leisure park operators and designers and decoration agencies. This year, it is characterized by even more highlights and renowned speakers, as well as a greater emphasis on best-practice examples of successful shopping-center and city-center decorations. Premium is supported by Globall Concept SPRL, Belgium, MAG Gorzelak i Jasinski Sp.J., Poland and MK Illumination Handels GmbH, Austria, and will be held in Room ‘Frequenz’, Portalhaus, Hall 11, Via Level.

Master of Presentation, Bernhard Paul, founder and director of Circus Roncalli, will give insights into emotional worlds of experience, guaranteed to mesmerize every audience. Two keynote lectures on ‘Innovation and digital change’ will provide plenty of fodder for lively discussion sessions. ‘Digital Darwinism – the silent attack on your business model and your brand!’ is the provocative title of the talk by Karl-Heinz Land, neuland GmbH & Co. KG. Stephan Jung, Business Speaker, Chairman of European Retail Innovation Committee, ICSC London, will make a plea for greater innovativeness in the trade and in city centers.

Additionally, Heiner Schote (Deputy Director, Hamburg Chamber of Commerce), Markus Pfeffer (CEO, BID-Seltersweg e. V.) and Anne- Catherine Caesar (Caesar Handels GmbH on behalf of the Urban Development Department, Hamburg) will present best-practice examples from Hamburg and Giessen under the title, ‘Cooperating to decorate the city’.

The event will be chaired by internationally renowned business journalist and author Thomas Ramge who contributes to distinguished publications, such as ‘brand eins’ and ‘The Economist’. During round-table discussions at lunchtime, Premium participants have the chance to talk to the speakers and ask their questions.

To round off the event, participants are invited to join a special tour to the highlights of the show. Those who want to look around the show on their own can take advantage of the Concept Decorations Guide, which lists many exhibitors working in the field of large-scale and outdoor decorations together with details of contact persons. The exhibition stands of these companies are shown at the show by the ‘Concept Decorations’ icon. The inspiring tour concludes with a get-together and Belgian specialities at the Global concept stand (11.0 C80).
