Holiday, gardens and gift take center stage at AmericasMart’s March Market

Spring’s premier buying event is March 7-9, 2018 at AmericasMart Atlanta. With more than 1,500 permanent showrooms and an abundance of temporary booths, the Atlanta Spring Gift, Home Furnishings and Holiday Market®showcases a stellar Home and Gift collection complemented with specialty collections in Holiday and Floral, The Gardens®, Tabletop, Gourmet and Housewares. March Market buyers enjoy thought-leader seminars and workshops, and another opportunity to explore the In Living Color vignette exhibition.

The 2018 March Market offers timely advantages to florists, designers, landscape artists and professional decorators across the board. Buyers shopping for Holiday 2018 are able to finalize selections from the nation’s largest holiday and floral collection before upcoming manufacturer’s deadlines; Gardens buyers are able to complete purchases in time for the busy summer buying season; and Gift buyers have another opportunity to explore the nation’s most comprehensive gift collection.

“The AmericasMart spring Market is a great time for buyers to see the Market without the crowds of the January show. Many of the buyers are revisiting their needs for the spring/summer gifting season—Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, and graduation. They also are looking to expand their orders for summer entertaining,” says Fred Pannek, president of Mud Pie. “The March Market will be especially exciting for Mud Pie. With our new showroom in Building 3, we will now be able to preview fall apparel in addition to showing our full collection of fashions for spring/summer.”

“People are really ready for spring, so buyers are focused on spring/summer immediates right now,” adds Emily Klienhans of Syndicate Home & Garden, who is open for its first March Market in The Gardens®. “It is so nice to find a new audience at AmericasMart. We felt like we were very well received at the January Market, had a great show and met tons of new customers.”

Highlighting the March Market is a curated Temporary showcase of up-and-coming and artisan lines. The Building 1, Floor 1 Temporary collection is a full floor of more than 55 temporary exhibitors featuring a mix of gifts, home accents, fashion jewelry, and framed art as well as handmade products, gourmet foods, holiday and outdoor merchandise and children’s items.

Among the Temporary collection are many first-time vendors with product new to AmericasMart including AbbiArt, Custom Cut Décor, LaShe Naturals, Morris Kitchen andSaltwash Soap Co. along with returning exhibitors JazzyArtz, Quotable Life, Cutco Cutlery, The Leonard Collection, Karen Foster Design, Meico, and All That Glitterz.

The Atlanta Spring Gift, Home Furnishings and Holiday Market offers a series of informational seminars and workshops kicking off in the Building 2, Floor 9 Seminar Room 930B on Wednesday, March 7 with “Giving Back: Why Customers Are Buying Products with Purpose.” In this seminar moderated by Managing Editor of “Gift Shop Magazine” Sam Ujvary, a panel of industry experts discuss why companies and products that give back are popular and selling, and how retailers can find and merchandise them. On Thursday, March 8,Retail Social Media Expert, Speaker and Founder of Social Edge™, Crystal Vilkaitis, presents “Real Stories of How Small-Town Businesses Are Succeeding with Social,”discussing what it takes to make a business stand out online.
