ATLANTA:
The 2011 ICON HONORS Call for Submissions and Nominations is now open through Monday, May 16 as retailers, manufacturers, sales agents and service providers compete for the highest recognition in the home and gift industry. Winners will be announced July 14..

All those submitting nominations may do so in three categories – Innovation, Contribution and Achievement – at the official website www.americasmarticonhonors.com. New to the 2011 ICON competition is the newly structured Honors categories that recognize Innovation Technology Application, Eco-Friendly Product Packaging, Licensed Product Innovations and Sustainable Business Practices. It is important to note that submissions entered for Innovation and Contribution Honors must be for programs conducted and completed between January 1 and Dec. 31, 2010.

Submissions and nominations will be independently evaluated by a panel of distinguished judges from the retail, manufacturing and design communities. Winning entries will be announced at the ICON HONORS 2011 Celebration in Atlanta on Thursday, July 14, 2011 during the Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market.

The ICON HONORS is the first international program that fully embraces the gift and home categories with an independent recognition of exemplary achievement across the industry spectrum: retailing, product manufacturing, product sales and service provision. Twelve winners from those fields were selected from more than 1,000 nominations for the inaugural 2010 ICON HONORS and it is anticipated that the selection will be even more competitive this year.
