It’s “Christmas in March” At the California Market Center For Spring L.A. Gift & Home Market, March 16-19, 2014

Christmas comes early in Southern California, with the upcoming L.A. Gift & Home Market to be held at the California Market Center (CMC), March 16-19, 2014. The focus of the “Christmas in March”-themed Market will be on the all-important holiday season, allowing retailers to shop early for products sure to make registers ring this Christmas.

With its dates scheduled to run concurrently with the always-exciting L.A Fashion Market, the L.A. Gift & Home Market at the CMC offers a wealth of products appropriate for the entire 4th quarter holiday season, which includes Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Hanukkah. “There is no doubt that every retailer-regardless of the nature of their business – needs to carefully choose products that will fly off the shelves at Christmas time,” observes Gerry Seibel, Vice President of New Business Development at CMC. “As CMC is the largest resource for holiday-oriented merchandise on the West Coast as well as one of the leading venues for cutting-edge apparel and fashion accessories in the United States, the Spring ‘Christmas in March’-themed Market truly gives gift, home, design, lifestyle and fashion retailers a one-stop shopping venue.”

Dale Zizi, owner of the Western states’ foremost seasonal sales firm Dale Zizi & Associates, concurs: “Many of our largest customers come to our March Market because they can do focused holiday buying and have more time to spend with the products without distraction. The Spring L.A. Gift & Home Market is vitally important because it gives retailers large and small the chance to secure the very best products and have that merchandise held for them, rather than having the items sold out.”

CMC’s major holiday resources include: Ars Antigua, Artistique 5 Design, Aurora Lights, Bethany Lowe Designs, Bethlehem Lights, Bridgeport Gallery, Brownish Button, CMA, Byers’ Choice, Candle Impressions, Cosmo Lighting, Creative Co-Op, Drexler Collection, Eric Cortina, FG Galassi, Fun Tape By Fancy That!, Gourmet du Village, Honey & Me, Icy Craft, Impulse Enterprises, Joy To The World Collectibles, Katherine’s Collection, Melrose International, Nutcracker Designs, One Hundred 80 Degrees, Packaging Services, RAZ Imports, Reliant Ribbon, Ribbons Unltd, Rosalie & Friends Inc., Rosemary & Time, Round Top Collection, S.S. Sarna, Shindo USA Ribbons, Squire Boone Village, Starlite Creations, tag, The Tinbox Co, Tyler Candles, Vickerman Trees & Lights, Zizi Showroom, and many more.

For retailers interested in products from the ultra-popular and lucrative fashion and children’s market, resources include the L.A. Kid’s Market, showcasing over 800 quality baby, kid’s and maternity products such as accessories, toys, gifts, and lifestyle novelties on floor 6A. Fashion accessories – such as jewelry, handbags, scarves and hats, and gifts — are also shown in abundance on floors 10A, 12C and 13C.

Expanded shopping opportunities offered during L.A. Fashion Market which might also be of interest to Gift & Home buyers include these temporary “shows within a show”:

SELECT Tradeshow, a luxury jewelry, accessories, handbags show;

TRANSIT Shoe Show featuring hundreds of footwear exhibitors;

LA MEN’S MARKET, an extensive resource for men’s accessories, novelty, and lifestyle products.

“We are so happy that the CMC combines its Fashion Market with the Gift & Home Market,” states Robin Seidel, partner in the well-known sales representative firm of Rosalie & Friends. “In addition to our regular customers, we also get a huge response from accessories and apparel buyers interested in augmenting their merchandise mix. This “cross-pollination” between gift & home and fashion is one of the great advantages of the California Market Center, and we have added dozens of new customers because of these two shows running concurrently.”

To welcome its gift, home, fashion, and design buyers, a number of amenities will be offered, including an opening night reception in the light-filled CMC Lobby, a 12C floor refreshment lounge and product showcase, and continental breakfasts, free Wi-Fi, telephones, photocopies, and fax services all provided in the B271 Buyers Lounge. As always, the CMC will offer free parking in its safe, underground garage, and handy shuttle service to its host hotels. The brand new ACE Hotel, home to the recent glamorous Grammy after-parties, will offer its lowest rates of the season exclusively to CMC buyers.
