It’s Not Just Small Business Week, It’s a Movement
Philadelphia, PA – There is nothing small about the giant impact small businesses have on our region. Small businesses are the lifeblood of Greater Philadelphia’s local economy, and play an instrumental role in our region’s economic success. They are the risk takers, the creative thinkers, the hard workers that create jobs and infuse our communities with entrepreneurial spirit.
To celebrate and recognize our region’s more than 150,000 small businesses, the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce and Verizon will present the first-ever Small Business Week, May 13–17, featuring a series of networking events, workshops and other activities to give small business owners resources and perspectives to succeed and grow their businesses. The week’s festivities culminate on May 17, with a keynote speech by Jonah Berger, a Wharton School professor and one of the world’s foremost experts in viral marketing. The full schedule of events can be found online here.
