June Holiday & Home Expo to Offer Inspiration & Innovation

Dallas Market Center today announced that the Holiday & Home Expo®, the nation’s only tradeshow devoted exclusively to permanent floral, seasonal décor and related decorative accessories, will offer thousands of new seasonal décor products as well as seminars, product demonstrations, walking tours and daily cash giveaways. The show will be held June 20-26. Holiday & Home Expo will run in conjunction with the Dallas Total Home & Gift Market (June 20-26).

Exhibitors will present products for special events and holidays, including spring, Easter and Christmas, as well as collectibles, novelties and wreaths. Other offerings include: containers, baskets, textiles, tabletop, topiaries, pre-made arrangements, outdoor décor, packaging, trim, ribbon, oversized commercial décor, display props, permanent botanicals, foliage and trees. Holiday & Home Expo features exhibits in The International Trade Plaza (The Plaza) as well as additional showrooms in the adjoining World Trade Center and Trade Mart.

New exhibitors in The Plaza include Karen Didion Originals (2F433), Roofian (2F417) and TJ Collection (1F117). Karen Didion offers a wide variety of collectible Santa figurines, all with hand-painted resin faces and hands, glass inset eyes and real mohair beards. Exquisite and unique fabrics – imported tapestry, velvet, satin, fur, suede and leather – are used to make the clothing, which is then finished with designer buttons, unusual braid, tassels and embroidery. Roofian Inc. is a direct importer of baskets for the gift basket and floral industry and offers a great selection of tin containers, wood boxes and packaging supplies as well. TJ Collection features Christmas ornaments, figurines, tabletop Christmas trees and other holiday décor.

Todd Fiscus, one of the top event producers in the country, will present the seminar, “Creating Magical Events with Flair to Spare” at noon, Friday, June 22 in the Seasons Gallery, located in The Plaza. Fiscus will share how he creates buzz-worthy soirees with expert space planning, florals, décor, lighting and entertainment.

J Schwanke AIFD, PFCI, AAF will present three Top Ten Picks walking tours: Flowers & Pre- mades at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 21; Seasonal Décor at 11 a.m. Friday, June 22; and Home Décor at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 23. J will also present a “30-Minute Trend Report on Color” at 5 p.m. Friday, June 22 in the J Lounge, 1F423, The Plaza.

Schwanke and Robert Hampton AIFD will be among designers who will present product demonstrations on the World Trade Center Design Stage from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday- Saturday, June 21-23. The demonstrations will cover such topics as hand-tied and wedding bouquets, Christmas wreaths, working with glass vases, techniques with ribbon and more. InStore LIVE! and KIZER & BENDER will present “Retail Adventures in the REAL WorldTM” Boot Camp from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, 2012 in Suite 554, World Trade Center. Tuition is $99. The show will also feature a tablescape competition, The Special Event, with tables decorated in special themes by exhibitors and their showroom designers. The Special Event will be on display on the first floor of The Plaza.
