Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association’s Buyer’s Guide Gives Parents a “Boost”
The Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association (JPMA) launches its second Juvenile Product Buyer’s Guide today, a resource that provides consumers with information for purchasing various juvenile products. The informative and interactive guides will be released throughout the year and each will focus on a unique product. Today’s guide features booster seats and portable hook-on chairs.
As babies grow, they become a new addition to the dinner table. There are many booster seats and hook-on chairs designed with functionality, ease of use and safety in mind. This second guide in the Buyer’s Guide sequence helps parents determine which seat is the best and safest choice for their family.
“JPMA is very excited to release its second Buyer’s Guide. The guides were developed to help parents select the safest and most appropriate products for their family,” said Kelly Mariotti, JD, CPA, executive director of JPMA. “Each guide includes JPMA Certified products that have been sample tested for conformance to ASTM standards.”
When selecting or using a booster or hook-on chair, consumers should:
Always choose a booster or hook-on chair with safety straps
Never leave a child unattended in the seat
Remember to choose safety over price when purchasing a booster or hook-on chair
Do not use a hook-on chair with tables that have slippery surfaces or glass tops
Always look for the JPMA Certification Seal
To promote the guides, JPMA is giving away free products that correlate with the current Buyer’s Guide. Those who visit the Baby Safety Zone Facebook page today can enter to win one of several JPMA Certified booster seats or hook-on chairs to use in their home. JPMA regularly offers product giveaways and other incentives throughout the year via their social media outlets.
These interactive guides are free for download. Consumers can also utilize the booster seat and hook-on chair safety video along with other safety videos created by JPMA to assist in their decision-making.
