Katherine McClure’s ‘Unique Boutique’ Offers Gift Items, Jewelry
Mobile, AL – Katherine Sheffield McClure comes from a long line of hard-working Mobilians, loves her hometown and its people and is not hesitant about putting in a full day”s work to make her own dreams come true or to help her fellow citizens. McClure owns Been There, a boutique in Westwood Plaza shopping center, 7765 Airport Blvd. at Schillinger Road.
In explaining what brought her to open the specialty shop, McClure said that after more than 40 years of working and many years of personal traveling, she found herself on a trip to Beijing, China, loaded down with jewelry and gift items for her friends to purchase.
Overwhelmed by the eager response to her “warehouse” show, she purchased a business license and began going to market for more items to sell and bringing home even more from her travels.
