L.A. Mart Announces Permanent Showroom Expansions, Long-Term Lease Renewals, Relocations and Openings Debuting at the January 2012 California Gift Show

Sixteen permanent showrooms make the L.A. Mart’s list of ‘Showrooms in the News’ as the countdown to 2012 and CGS begins. Illustrating a renewed groundswell of confidence in the Southern California region as well as the L.A. Mart, the commitments from these sixteen showrooms total nearly 50,000 square-feet of year-round, showroom space. The retail community will have greatly increased resources at their fingertips, reinforcing L.A. Mart’s position as a vital, indispensible destination of in-demand products for the buying trade.

“We are excited to kick-off 2012 with such strong momentum,” said Mark Furlet, vice president gift+ home, California Gift Show/L.A. Several major expansions are comprised of flagship L.A. Mart showrooms with resilient, growth-oriented businesses that performed well in 2011. Remembrance/GRACE by Catherine Sullivan is nearly tripling its square footage with an expansion and new loft-look design supporting the company’s re-branding efforts. Owner Catherine Sullivan decided the New Year was the time to present a more fashion-oriented front to the Gift Industry. The official opening party will take place in January at CGS.

Fine Lines is dedicating a new Roost by Fine Lines gallery, Roost will occupy additional square footage expanding their presence in the market. This premier home and accessories line is a favorite of buyers from across the region and has made Fine Lines their resource for shopping Roost. The official opening will take place in January at CGS.

Stephen Young is expanding to more than 13,000 square-feet. The increased footprint will accommodate buyers as they continue to converge on the wildly popular and successful ‘Book Room.’ In a time when technology appears to be replacing the printed page, Stephen Young’s specialty book business points to the opposite.

FEM Sales quadruples its space as it expands with Transpac Imports and Foreside Home & Garden.

These sixteen showrooms will add to the 10,000-plus products debuting at L.A. Mart and Los Angeles Convention Center at California Gift Show, the preeminent market for gift and home furnishings products on the West Coast.
