Las Vegas Design Center announces second annual ANDYZ Awards

Las Vegas Design Center (LVDC) announced today that entries are being accepted for the second edition of the “ANDYZ” design awards program, created in partnership with the California Central/Nevada Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), to recognize and celebrate the “best of the best” in nine interior design categories. The ANDYZ awards, which commemorate noteworthy projects by interior designers, architects and design students, will be presented during the Summer 2016 Las Vegas Market, July 31-August 4, 2016.

“Las Vegas Design Center and Las Vegas Market are delighted to partner with the local interior design community for a second consecutive year on this exceptionally successful new awards program,” said Marsha Timson, director, Las Vegas Design Center. “We were extremely pleased with the positive reaction to the launch of the ANDYZ awards at the Summer 2015 Las Vegas Market, and are looking forward to spotlighting a preeminent selection of regional interior design projects again this year. We welcome the opportunity to advance and support the broader interior design community, thereby reinforcing the positioning of Las Vegas Design Center and Las Vegas Market as the leading furniture, home decor and gift destination in the western United States.”

Las Vegas Design Center — located in Building A at Las Vegas Market — serves as a year-round resource for the regional interior design community, and a trend-setting Market resource for buyers in the furniture and home décor categories, showcasing 30 design-driven showrooms and hundreds of leading manufacturers’ lines in fine furniture, decorative accessories, wall décor, lighting, floor coverings, fabrics and trim.

The ANDYZ Awards, named to bear the resemblance of “Annual Nevada Design,” were created to recognize exceptional design from designers and design firms based in Nevada and Central California. Interior design projects in residential, commercial and hospitality categories will be judged by an esteemed panel of professional ASID designers, and the second annual ANDYZ winners will be announced during Summer 2016 Las Vegas Market at an awards celebration on Sunday, July 31, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., in the WorldView Ballroom on the 16th Floor of Building B.
