Las Vegas Design Center announces third annual ANDYZ Awards

Las Vegas Design Center (LVDC) announced that entries are being accepted through June 3, 2017, for the third annual “ANDYZ” design awards program, created in partnership with the California Central/Nevada Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID).  The ANDYZ awards, which recognize and celebrate noteworthy projects by interior designers, architects and design students in 10 interior design categories, will be presented during the Summer 2017 Las Vegas Market, July 30-August 3, 2017.  The 2017 ANDYZ awards will feature several new elements, including the addition of a new 10th award category recognizing superlative showroom design, “early bird” submission discounts.

The ANDYZ Awards, named to bear the resemblance of “Annual Nevada Design,” were created in 2015 to recognize exceptional design from designers and design firms. Interior design projects in residential, commercial and hospitality categories will be judged by an esteemed panel of professional ASID designers, based upon five main criteria: presentation; innovation/creative use of space; scale and functionality; aesthetics, and overall execution.

“Las Vegas Design Center and Las Vegas Market are the ‘go-to’ resource for the Western interior design community, and we are pleased to once again work with ASID to support exciting design projects for residential, commercial and hospitality interiors with the ANDYZ awards,” said Lee Hershberg, vice president, Home Décor & Las Vegas Design Center. “Interior designers attended the recently-concluded Winter Market in record numbers, further strengthening the position of Las Vegas Design Center and Las Vegas Market as the leading furniture, home decor and gift destination in the western United States.”

Las Vegas Design Center — located in Building A at Las Vegas Market — serves as a year-round resource for the regional interior design community, and a trend-setting Market resource for buyers in the furniture and home décor categories, showcasing 25 design-driven showrooms and hundreds of leading manufacturers’ lines in fine furniture, decorative accessories, wall décor, lighting, floor coverings, fabrics and trim.

ANDYZ winners will be announced during Summer 2017 Las Vegas Market at an awards celebration on Sunday, July 30, in the WorldView Ballroom on the 16th Floor of Building B.

The ANDYZ Awards are open to all design firms, independent designers and students located across the country. Categories include: Student Project, for students enrolled in 2017; Custom Furnishing/Product Design, not including a manufacturer’s product; Residential Kitchen Project; Individual Residential Space, such as a bedroom, bathroom, media room, living room, laundry room, outdoor space, or garage, not including a kitchen; Multiple Residential Spaces, within the same residence; Individual Commercial Space; Multiple Commercial Spaces, within the same commercial property; Individual Hospitality Space; and Multiple Hospitality Spaces, within the same hospitality property.
