Las Vegas Market gourmet reproduces top 500 for first time ever

Las Vegas Market announced today that another round of commitments from another five new and expanding showrooms and another 15 temporary exhibitors has pushed gourmet resources over 500 for the first time ever for the Summer 2017 Market, which runs July 30-August 3.  In total, the Las Vegas Market now presents a concentration of 200+ gourmet lines on floors C1 and C11, and another 300+ gourmet-relevant brands across the campus, in both permanent showrooms and in gift and home temporary exhibits in The Pavilions at Las Vegas Market.

“Las Vegas Market identified the gourmet category as one of its strategic building blocks and our first gourmet housewares presentation launched on C11 in Summer 2015. Since that time, the floor has grown exponentially to showcase 200+ gourmet lines, with expected sold-out status to be achieved by the end of 2017.” said Dorothy Belshaw, president of Gift Leasing and Chief Marketing Officer, International Market Centers. “This explosive gourmet growth trajectory is a key ingredient in Las Vegas Market’s position as the nation’s fastest growing gift and home décor market.”

Two of the most recently confirmed new gourmet showrooms are located on C11: ARK, a multi-line vendor collective featuring nine leading lines – Artim Home Textiles, Beyond the Olive, CLM Cotton and More, Columbian Home Products, Eme Flatware, Excalibur, Nautilus Water Distillers, Omega Juicers and Blenders and Zojirushi – in 2,149- square-feet; and Shun Cutlery, a manufacturer of fine handcrafted knives and accessories, in 1,520-square-feet.  In addition, multi-line sales agency Muir Sales is adding another 1,520-square-feet to its C11 showroom add debuting three leading brands OXO, Now Designs and Ta Da to its collection.  These newcomers join three previously announced new gourmet showrooms on C11: Katie’s Candies; LuRay Collection and Sertodo Copper.

On C1, two other newly confirmed showrooms will debut this summer:  Danya B., a supplier of contemporary ceramic, glass and metal kitchen and dining products, in 585- square-feet; and Hester + Cook, providers of kitchen products, papers, lighting and home accessories, in 1,421- square-feet.  These newcomers join six previously announced new gourmet showrooms on C1, including: AMEICO; Areaware; Casafina; Costa Nova; Grestel; and Kiyasa.

The gourmet category also is expanding in The Pavilions at Las Vegas Market, with gourmet-related temporary exhibitors concentrated in the GIFT, DESIGN and HANDMADE categories within Pavilion 1.  Among new-to-market gourmet exhibitors are: Albanese Confections, Bear Paw, Chez Prunette, CookPlay USA, Culver Industries, Debbie Lee’s Classic Creations, Fancy Panz, Ink Dish, Jacobsen Salt, Le Cluny, Love Bottle, McSteven’s, Poppy Handcrafted Popcorn, Talla Imports and Vivajennz.  These companies join scores of other gourmet exhibitors in the Pavilions, including BeerCap Trap, Blomus/SKS USA, Capabunga, Cose Nuove, Eleven Design Studio, Going Stemless Magnetic Cocktail Charms, Inspired Generations, Modgy, Out of the Woods of Oregon, South Bend Chocolate, Supreme Housewares, True Brands and Ulster Weavers.

All of these new gourmet resources join other notable gift-oriented housewares, tabletop and specialty food exhibitors at Las Vegas Market, including: Aesthetic Movement (Sir/Madam, Fishs Eddy); Alessi; bambu home; Canvas Home; Chukar Cherries; Circa Asia; Design Imports; Eva Solo; Hammond’s Candies; Harold Import Company; JURA; Magenta; Match; Mepra; Olivia Reigel; Pepper Creek Farms; Reidel; Sea Stones; Sagaform USA; Skyros Designs; and The Travers Group (SodaStream, Joseph Joseph.)

Beyond exhibits, Las Vegas Market also is offering gourmet-relevant education for buyers and exhibitors. On Monday, July 31, “Taking a Bigger Bite of the Specialty Food Market” will discuss the burgeoning specialty food market and how retailers in many different industry segments can incorporate consumables to increase transaction size and generate repeat traffic.   Anna Wolfe, editor-in-chief of The Gourmet Retailer will lead panelists Mary Moore, founder and CEO of Cook’s Warehouse (Atlanta, GA), Dave West, owner of Rolling Pin Kitchen Emporium (Brandon, FL) and others.
