Laughing Dog Brings T-Shirt Designs to LifeBy Rebecca HeisnerBreezeJMU.org

Harrisonburg, VA – Nestled between Billy Jack’s and Jack Brown’s is Laughing Dog, a shop that has been a part of the downtown scene since the ’90s. It’s both a gift shop and a custom printing shop, a slightly odd combination that’s been quite successful over the years.

JMU alumni Kathleen Kraft (’82) and her husband, Keith Mills (’83), started the company 23 years ago, not long after they graduated from JMU.

“We were looking for a business of our own and Harrisonburg had space for us,” Kraft said.
