Leasing Activity Hits High Gear at Las Vegas Market

Las Vegas Market announced today that another 26 leading gift and home décor suppliers and sales agencies have leased new showrooms, or expanded existing showroom spaces, for the Summer 2013 Las Vegas Market, July 29-August 2. This summer, the number of gift and home décor resources presented in Building C will be significantly larger than in winter 2013 – with 1,150+ new-to-market lines presented in more than half-a-million square feet of new showroom space.

“This surge in showroom leasing continues the Las Vegas Market’s upwards trajectory, and contributes to the Market’s ever-increasing concentration of leading gift and home décor resources,” said Dorothy Belshaw, president of Gift & Home Décor, International Market Centers. “We are delighted that so many high-profile companies have recognized Las Vegas Market’s position as the leading gift and home décor destination in the western United States.”

Influential multi-line reps joining the Summer Market include: Dallas-based agency Anne McGilvray & Co., anchoring the debut of the Lifestyle Collection on floor C10 with a new 10,547-square-foot showroom highlighting more than 32 vendors of trendy gifts, stationery, toys, novelties and lifestyle brands including Crocodile Creek, Design Ideas, Douglas Toys, HarperCollins Publishers, Hobbs & Dobbs, Hog Wild, Primal Elements, Sterling Publishing; and Joanne & Company, a Los Angeles-based sales agency with a new location on floor C8, showcasing 13 leading lines, including About Face Designs, Amy Louise, Basic Spirit, Happy Jars, India Handicraft, Jubilee, Le Cadeaux, Maison Chic, Peepers, Sherri’s Designs, Splendid Iris, Tickled Pink and Woof & Poof.

Leading brands new to the market are joining both newly-launched floors and pre-existing floors, enriching vertical category presentations and extending classic gift and home presentations. Glory Haus, a supplier of whimsical home décor, will open its first West Coast showroom this summer as part of the Lifestyle Collection on C10.

Leading brands re-entering the Las Vegas Market after a hiatus include Kalalou, a provider of decorative accessories opening a showroom on C6; and Mark Roberts, with a new showroom on floor C9 featuring an upscale line of Christmas and home décor.

Several key firms are moving from temporary exhibit space at Las Vegas Market into permanent showroom locations, including Accessories Now, a supplier of personal accessories and jewelry that is opening its first West Coast showroom on C8; and Melrose International, a supplier of gifts and seasonal accessories that will be one of several leading suppliers anchoring the new C9 seasonal collection.

A number of other companies are relocating within the building to new or newly expanded showrooms, including Catherine Lillywhite’s, a supplier of gifts, personal accessories and holiday merchandise, which is doubling the size of its showroom and moving to C9; home décor supplier Classic Home and lighting purveyor Santangelo Lighting are moving to C3; Kansas-based DEMDACO, representing artist-driven gift and home décor products with an expanded showroom on floor C9; decorative accessories supplier HomArt, moving to C6; gift and accessories provider Manual Woodworkers & Weavers, moving to C8; gift and decorative accessories supplier Roman Inc., relocating to C9; gift and collectible supplier Unicorn Studio Inc. dba Veronese Design, moving to C9; VIP International, a supplier of gifts, garden items and decorative accessories, which is expanding its showroom on C6 by more than 30%; and White Dove Gifts, a Los Angeles-based sales rep group doubling the size of its showroom on C8.
