Local Boutique Paper Kite has ‘Something for Everybody’By Faith BohatyDailyNebraskan.com

Lincoln, NE – After opening its doors in October of 2013, the Paper Kite, a boutique for “baby, home and her” became part of the collection of small businesses in Lincoln.

Located off the corner of Prescott Avenue and S. 48th Street, in the College View neighborhood, a large glass window with the words “Paper Kite” delicately displayed allows you a view into the store. Awaiting customers inside is a welcoming and cozy atmosphere. The simple white walls that line the store play as a canvas for the sweeping array of unique products the store provides.

Owner Megan Hasselbalch, who graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a degree in art and communications, said owning her own shop was not her initial plan.
