Lucy Rose Boutique is a New Orleans Family Affair
New Orleans, LA – The faces behind Lucy Rose are Lindsay Laws (nickname: Lucy) and her sister Kaitlyn Alvarez (middle name: Rose). The boutique name was dreamed up long before the actual business existed. “We’ve always wanted to do a sister thing,” says Alvarez. “It’s been our dream.”
When the siblings learned recently that Tomato, the shop formerly in the Magazine Street space, was for sale, more family entered the picture.
Laws’ husband, Reuben, is an investor; his sister, Casey Lapin, does the graphic design; and the owners’ mom, Tracey Alvarez, gets put to work, too, at least when it’s time for market.
