March Total Home & Gift Market Offers Complete Buying Resource

Apparel & Accessories Market being held March 24-27 will coincide with the Dallas Western Market (March 24-27) and Dallas Bridal Market (March 25-27). This once-a-year crossover Market will offer attendees gift and home accessories as well as apparel and fashion accessories and a variety of special events and learning opportunities.

On Thursday, March 24 at 6 p.m., The Inspired Event will be held as the all-market party in the Hall of Nations, World Trade Center (WTC) 1st floor. During the event, attendees will be inspired and enjoy food and fun. The Next Big Give winners – Brown in Houston, Texas and Tea & Magnolias in Tulsa, Okla. will share their stories. Raffle tickets will be sold to benefit charities.

Also, The Next Big Give winners will participate in an “Idea Swap: Generous Retailers = Successful Retailers” on Friday, March 25 at noon in the Seminar Suite, WTC #9065. Panelists include: Jim Butler, owner of Arizona Bridal Warehouse and author of Bridal Profit Explosion; Jennifer Tyler, president of Tyler Associates, a consulting firm for non-profit funding; Jill Brown, owner of Brown in Houston, Texas; and Jamie Ponville and Terri Ponville Brown of Tea & Magnolias in Tulsa, Okla. owned and operated by Susan Ponville. The group will exchange ideas on how retailers can give back in their communities in big and small ways.

On Friday, March 25, Cheryl Jackson, author of What In the World Are You Doing?, will sign copies of her book and greet fans in Crystals On Fire, WTC #13810 from 1 to 3 p.m. Buyers can Shop Late ‘Til 7 in participating permanent showrooms on Friday.

Another exciting educational opportunity taking place during the Total Home & Gift Market will be a Walking Tour: “Sure-Sell Gift Item Trends” with retail expert Rawlins Gilliland on Saturday, March 26 at 10 a.m. Attendees should meet at the front escalators of the Trade Mart 1st floor. Gilliland will show buyers the best sellers that appeal to a broad range of customers.
