MFA Provides Helping Hands!

Mark Feldstein & Associates, inc. (MFA), a product development company and importer of housewares, giftware, and electronics for over 25 years, believes that giving back is a way of life and part of its corporate responsibility.

Each year, MFA donates money, products and employee time to various nonprofit organizations in the Toledo area, as well as nationally and worldwide.

“As a company, we feel that we have a social responsibility to the community to improve quality of life,” said Mark Feldstein, President, Mark Feldstein & Associates, inc. “Giving back helps contribute to the overall success of our company, our employees and our community.”

Each December, MFA donates hundreds of their popular Flameless LED Christmas Carol Sound Candles to the Toledo Children’s Hospital. These candles provide some comfort and cheer for young patients during which would normally be a festive time of year. In addition, MFA employees volunteer their time each holiday season to sell newspapers for The Old Newsboys Goodfellow Association – a 100% charitable organization that raises funds to purchase clothing and shoes for Toledo area needy children. In honor of its 25th year in business in 2011, MFA made a special donation to the Toledo Community Foundation – a public, charitable foundation which exists to improve the quality of life in the Toledo area. On a national and international level, MFA works with the Red Cross and others to donate Illuminator No Battery/No Bulb Flashlights for hurricane, tornado and earthquake relief efforts.

MFA does not have a formal company “giving” policy in place, but rather looks at each request on an individual basis. They attempt to seek out organizations or causes that are assisting people that need it the most. In addition, there are specific charities or organizations that they work with regularly, based on their employees’ personal involvement or experiences with them.
