Modern Day Masala Growing Up with Whole Foods
Atlanta, GA — With Indian cuisine being touted as one of the top five food trends for 2010 at the recent Summer Fancy Food Show, it is no surprise that local entrepreneur Kristin Sharma, founder of Modern Day Masala, is adding Whole Foods Market to the list of retailers carrying the organic spice mixtures.
Sharma recently announced that her organic product line, including such favorites as Butter Chicken and Vegetable Gold, will now be available at Atlanta-area Whole Foods stores.
The Whole Foods addition comes on the heels of Modern Day Masala opening a new, expanded production facility in Marietta, Georgia. With the capability for increased production, Sharma selected Global Specialty Foods as the southeastern distributor for Modern Day Masala spice mixtures.
Global Specialty Foods CEO John Magnuson stated, “I am very pleased that we are distributing Modern Day Masala to our specialty food clients. It gives their customers an opportunity to easily create authentic Indian dishes at home.”
