Black River Falls, WI – Five years after its owner took over a closed little log cabin coffee hut, Molly’s Rude Awakening has grown to an espresso and specialty coffee shop, funky gift shop and beer and wine lounge that draws travelers from Interstate 94.

“We have a lot of regulars from the Twin Cities, Chicago, Milwaukee and Madison,” owner Molly Saavedra said. During their first visit, she said, “they didn’t expect to find something like this” in Black River Falls.

“At the heart of this is a coffee shop,” said Saavedra, who gets help in the business from her husband, Victor, her mother and an aunt. “We’re known for a lot of flavors. You can get a mocha hundreds of different ways.”
