Most U.S. Small-Business Owners Would Do It All Over AgainBy Frank NewportGallup.com

Princeton, NJ – More than eight in 10 U.S. small-business owners say they would still become a small-business owner if they had it to do over again. This sentiment has changed little over the past 11 years, which suggests that the difficulties many small businesses experienced during the Great Recession did not cause owners to regret their decision to start a business.

These results are from the most recent update of the Wells Fargo/Gallup Small Business Index, based on telephone interviews with 600 small-business owners conducted March 31-April 4, 2014.

From August 2003 through the first quarter of 2010, the Wells Fargo/Gallup Small Business Index regularly asked small-business owners about their decision to start a business, but did not ask this question in the intervening years until this most recent update.
