Mud Pie encourages volunteerism with new VTO Policy
Mud Pie has introduced a paid Volunteer Time Off (VTO) policy that allows associates to donate their time to the causes that are closest to their hearts.
“As a family-owned company, we recognize the many priorities our associates are juggling on a daily basis,” said Zander Brekke, general counsel and vice president of HR for Mud Pie. “They have their own families, commitments and passions. One way we can help them achieve a better work-life balance is to give them the freedom to pursue what is most important to them. Whether they volunteer in their child’s classroom, serve meals at a local homeless shelter, or participate in a community workday, Mud Pie will support their efforts.”
Mud Pie has established a culture of giving back, donating over $1 million through their two signature programs with the American Cancer Society and the March of Dimes. The new VTO program provides two paid days off per calendar year for full-time office employees who choose to participate.
