Mungi Bands signs with Diverse Marketing and KidStuff PR
Wilmington, NC – Mungi Bands, the collectible and tradable line of stylish magnetic jewelry has engaged Diverse Marketing to expand their retail sales reach across the United States. To promote the expansion and increase consumer awareness, Mungi Bands has also signed with KidStuff Public Relations for publicity efforts with trade, consumer and blogger outreach.
Diverse Marketing will represent the entire line of Mungi Bands in both Specialty Toy and Gift, including placement in their showrooms in Dallas, Chicago, Minneapolis and Atlanta. Founded in 1959, Diverse Marketing is a leader in Specialty Toy and Gift sales. Over 45 reps will operate across all 28 states that makeup Diverse’s territory. Chad Anger, President of Mungi Bands, is still seeking representation in the remaining states.
“Diverse Marketing chose to represent Mungi Brands because we know lightning in a bottle when we see it. We have been searching for the next great band out there and we have found it,” said Wes Hardin, executive vice president of Diverse Marketing. “We look forward to showing the line to our retail partners.”
In order to promote the line featuring many new styles this fall, Mungi Bands has signed with KidStuff PR, a mid-size public relations agency specializing in toys, games, juvenile gear and services for families across the U.S. for the past 18 years. KidStuff PR is known for its representation of well-respected and innovative companies. It has become a “one-stop-shop” for many reporters, at trade and consumer outlets, who appreciate that they can find exactly the types of unique products they’re looking to cover.
“When Chad sent me the samples of his unique and fun product and I saw the quality and great designs, I wanted to be part of his team,” said Lisa Orman, President of KidStuff PR. “We expect Mungi Bands to be very popular with our media and blog contacts.”
Since they have both immersed themselves in the toy and gift businesses for many years, both Diverse Marketing and KidStuff PR are fortunate to be able to be choosy about clients they choose to work with. It’s a big plus for Mungi Bands that both firms have identified the company as a winner!
ABOUT MUNGI BRANDS
Why Mungi? It’s a subliminal name that’s just fun to say. Fun is key to these magnetic bands that were invented at the urging of entrepreneur Chad Anger’s three little girls. Along with business partner Chris Goulet, parent company Mungi Brands (so named to accommodate additional products when they are introduced in the future) blossomed in December 2011 when Mungi Bands were test marketed at two Learning Express stores in Wilmington, N.C. They sold more than a case of packs in a weekend. Within six months, including an exhibit at New York’s 2012 Toy Fair, they were selling in 40 stores. Today the business is in talks for international distribution from Brazil to Israel. Look for Mungi Bands locally at specialty toy stores or buy them online at www.mungibands.com.
