Nana Star and the Moonman wins Moonbeam Children’s Book Award

(Fairfax, VA) — A panel of experts recently picked Nana Star and the Moonman as a bronze medal winner in the Book with Merchandise category for the 2008 Moonbeam Children’s Book Awards.

The awards are designed to bring increased recognition to exemplary children’s books and their creators, and to support childhood literacy and life-long reading. This year, 1,085 independently published children’s books were entered into 30 categories.

Bronze medal winner Nana Star and the Moonman ($15.95) is the second storybook in the Nana Star series of books with comforting messages about friendship and faith. The sweet story is geared particularly for young readers who may not like the dark or are feeling lonely.
