New Boutique Heads to Rehoboth
Rehoboth Beach, DE – After two women’s clothing stores closed in Rehoboth Beach, retirees Tom Durso and Bernard Fensterwald saw the opportunity to fill a hole left in the market, opening up a moderate to high-end clothing boutique for women over 30.
The owners hope to build their new business, Simply Dressed, partially using resources from Crysti, the store which occupied 33 Baltimore Ave., unit D, before they signed a lease last July. They’ve hired two former Crysti employees, Paulette C. Lanza and Joyce MacConnell, who they hope will help make for a smooth transition.
“We brought them on so everyone has a familiar face when they come in and see the store has so changed,” Durso said. “They’re a key to be here as well, they know the garment types and how everything fits.”
