New layout for The Gardens debuts at AmericasMart January 2018 Market

It’s a new season for The Gardens at AmericasMart Atlanta and change is in the air. The nation’s largest collection of casual furniture, accessories, holiday and innovative garden gift merchandise takes on a new look for January 2018 with select showrooms relocating and expanding, and an all-new buying experience presented by Creative Co-Op in a new and spectacular more-than-28,000-square-foot space.

The new Creative Co-Op presentation in Building 2, Floor 10 establishes a fresh heartbeat for The Gardens, and introduces a re-imagined showroom experience with inspirational product presentations, new product categories and a dedicated events space for networking, educational programming and celebrating the retail community. With the Creative Co-Op relocation establishing one of AmericasMart’s largest exhibitor footprints, the Gardens exhibitor community steps up with enhanced and expanded product resources, variety and selection.

“At Creative Co-Op, we want to offer a different experience for our customers than they get from walking into another showroom,” says Garry Schermann, senior vice president of Sales. “The new layout and the addition of the Creative Commons lets us take the mood of the showroom into a public space and create a new experience for our buyers.”

The new Creative Co-Op space and the relocated showrooms will open at The Atlanta International Gift and Home Furnishings Market, January 9-16, 2018. They will also be open Mondays through Fridays as part of AmericasMart’s Open Year-Round resources.

Movement in Building 2, Floors 9 and 10 has allowed longtime exhibitors to update their showroom spaces.

“Our new showroom is at least three times larger than our space was on Floor 10,” says Bill Dual, president of In The Breeze. “With this much space we have room to show almost our entire line, and, for sure, all of our best sellers in all categories.” In January, In The Breeze will present its full line of kites and kite accessories, which it has always carried, but previously didn’t have room to show at AmericasMart.

Cohasset Gifts & Garden will show both its wind chimes and molten glass collections in its new space. “Photos never do the wind chimes nor the molten glass sculptures justice, and buyers really need to see them in person to understand why they are important pieces,” explains owner Diane Anderson. “Our displays give the retailers ideas of how to merchandise the product so they can sell it in their stores.  The Market and the new space lets us make a connection with our buyers and work with them on how to grow their businesses.”

“The type of buyer we see at AmericasMart runs the gamut,” adds Anderson. “We see Garden Centers and birding stores, plus just as many gift stores that carry products that are perfect for outdoor spaces. We also have buyers who are florists and event planners, and even pet stores who use our molten glass pieces as Beta fish bowls. The Atlanta Market is the number one show. There is no way around it.”
