New owner for Selah flower and gift shopBy Chris ThornSelahNews.com

Abbey’s Floral has been around for more than 25 years in its same location, right across from Red Apple, but until recently it remained simply a flower shop. When new owner and long-time employee Dona Vankuelen bought the shop it changed in dramatic fashion. She bought the shop August 1, of this year from Scott and Tammy Gunner. Abbey’s Floral was first opened by Mary and Bill Wangler in 1982.

Now, Abbey’s Floral and Gifts has more than flowers and a few plants. They have shirts, earrings, dish gardens, latte cup holders, kitchen towels, embroidered toilet paper, aprons, golf and fishing towels, baby bibs, burp cloths, diaper bags and blankets.

They also have wallets, matching handbags and tote bags, diaper cakes, potato bags, tortilla and sweet corn bags, scented heat therapy bags, pillow cases, prayer boxes, place mats, pot holders, ring bearer pillows, baptismal shoes and bonnets, iron work and wood art for both inside and outside.
