The Villagers Collection, a new Camden County retail business, offers a eclectic mix of items that the store motto says is “everything you want and nothing you need.”

Owners Dori Hegi and Donna Hetzel created the motto to describe the wide assortment of merchandise offered. The store opened May 9 and sells everything from home accents and custom floral arrangements to unique lamps, stylish purses and exclusive jewelry lines, such as Maximal Art by New York designer John Wind.

“We felt there was a need for a conveniently located gift shop boutique. We carry many unique items that you won’t see in our area,” Hegi said.

And the store is very convenient, indeed. Both Hegi and Hetzel own the adjoining store, RE/MAX real estate, and they feel their new endeavor will be a perfect fit for new home buyers.

“We understand there is a need for shopping in the area, and every time we had a customer in our real estate business ask where to go, we thought, ‘Wouldn’t it be wonderful to open our own boutique to serve the public?'” Hetzel said.

Now, she said, their real estate customers, among others who need home products, have a convenient place to go and peruse items needed, and a variety of other things.
