New Stationery “Neighborhood” Debuts at Summer NYIGF

White Plains, NY — A new “neighborhood” of publishers and social stationery suppliers will debut at the summer 2010 New York International Gift Fair® (NYIGF®), enabling buyers to quickly source and shop this popular product category. Located within the NYIGF’sGeneral Gift division, this focused grouping of exhibitors will provide a consolidated resource for specialty paper, note cards, journals, writing instruments and publishing.

Comprised of current exhibitors, as well as newcomers to NYIGF, the stationery neighborhood will include leading social stationery suppliers such as Calypso Cards, Found Image Press, Knock Knock, Nelson Lines, Notes & Queries and Pomegranate Press, as well as a grouping of key publishers, including Harper Collins Publishers, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, Macmillan, Random House Inc., Rizzoli and Workman Publishing.

“Creation of this new stationery neighborhood creates greater efficiencies for buyers,” said Dorothy Belshaw, NYIGF director and GLM senior vice president. “We have strategically positioned this new neighborhood within General Gift and in close proximity to Baby & Child, EX·TRACTS® and Personal Accessories, in order to maximize cross-category adjacencies and synergies.”

Some 40 exhibitors in the stationery neighborhood will be located in the 7500 aisle on Level One of the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. The list of confirmed participants, to date, includes:

The creation of this new stationery neighborhood is a component of “Focus Forward 2013,” a strategic three-year reorganization of NYIGF. In summer 2013, when all planned changes are complete, the stationery neighborhood will be presented as part of NYIGF Lifestyle, one of four comprehensive market collections – comprised of personal care and wellness, gift and stationery, fashion accessories and Baby & Child.

The summer 2010 NYIGF takes place Saturday, August 14, through Thursday, August 19, 2010, at New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center and Passenger Ship Terminal Piers 92 and 94.

NYIGF is the nation’s premier gift, home and lifestyle marketplace, with 2,800 exhibiting companies featuring an extraordinary breadth and depth of design-driven home fashion products and complementary giftware. Some 35,000 attendees from all 50 states and more than 85 countries worldwide are expected. Information and registration is available online at www.nyigf.com.
