GLM Appoints New Advisory Board Members for New York International Gift Fair

White Plains, NY – Three new members have been appointed to the Advisory Board of the New York International Gift Fair (NYIGF). Two retailers, Walter Lowry of Los Angeles-based TableArt, and Sallie Stutz of the Brooklyn Museum Shop, and one show exhibitor, Enrico Bressan of Artecnica, Inc., have been appointed to the eight-member Board.

Comprised of attendees and exhibitors, the Board meets semi-annually with show management to offer strategic feedback related to the gift and home accessories market in general and about the NYIGF in particular. The next scheduled Advisory Board meeting will take place on Tuesday, February 5, 2008, at the New York International Gift Fair at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City.

“Walter and Sally each bring a unique retail perspective to the Board that will support the continued development of core market sectors,” said Dorothy Belshaw, GLM senior vice president and NYIGF director. “Artecnica is now a recognized leader in ‘green design’ and Enrico has been a catalyst for raising the profile of sustainability at the NYIGF over the past year. All three have been offering input to us informally, and we are delighted to now have them as partners in a more ‘official’ capacity.”

Walter Lowry is the owner of TableArt in Los Angeles, an upscale retailer of a wide range of tabletop items, lighting and furniture. As vice director for merchandising of the Brooklyn Museum, Sallie Stutz oversees the merchandising of unique gifts inspired by the renowned collection of the Brooklyn Museum.
