New York Market Producers Launch Cooperative Marketing Campaign

White Plains, NY – Four New York Market entities – tradeshow producer George Little Management, LLC (GLM) and permanent showroom buildings 41 Madison, 230 Fifth Avenue and 7 West 34th Street – have extended their partnership to include a cooperative marketing campaign: “New York Market: Built for Business.”

Effective immediately, a new “New York Market: Built for Business” tagline and logo will be utilized in all individual and collective marketing, reflecting increased cooperation and synergy between the various market locations. (Click here for NY Market logo) A New York Market website also is in development.

“Traditionally, the shows and showrooms have cooperated on market logistics, such as inter-venue transportation and combined directories, to create a seamless experience for buyers and exhibitors,” said Dorothy Belshaw, GLM senior vice president and director of the New York International Gift Fair. “Our cooperative marketing efforts connected with last August’s launch of Home Textiles Market Week in New York indicated that there is additional benefit for buyers and exhibitors if we better integrate our individual marketing as well. Our joint marketing efforts will better reflect New York City’s position as the greatest business-to-business city in the U.S.”

The new marketing elements that will support the NY Market partnership include a unique “NY Market” logo and the tagline “Built for Business.” This focused branding will appear in all the advertisements placed by GLM and the individual buildings, and will be evident throughout all cooperative efforts, such as the combined directories, special events and programming, and shuttle transportation during market times.

The seamless cooperation between NY Market partners will result in a business-focused and buyer friendly atmosphere with nearly 4,200 companies, representing established national and international brands as well as new lines, presented throughout New York City – in temporary exhibit space at the Javits Center, Metropolitan Pavilion and Passenger Ship Terminal Piers, and in New York’s permanent showroom buildings at 41 Madison Avenue, 7 West 34th Street and 230 Fifth Avenue. Together, these venues attract an unparalleled buying power to market, with more than 100,000 buyers, including company principals and top decision-makers from every retail channel of distribution (independent, specialty chain, department store, mass merchandisers) attending the markets each year.
