NY NOW opens submissions for the Best New Product and Best Exclusive Launch Awards
Submissions are now being accepted for the Best Exclusive Launch and Best New Product Awards at the winter 2016 edition of NY NOW, the Market for Home, Lifestyle + Gift. Both opportunities are free to participate and open to all winter 2016 market exhibitors that meet the criteria for each award.
The winter 2016 edition of NY NOW will take over the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City with three comprehensive collections, encompassing 100,000 products in hundreds of product categories.
“NY NOW’s exhibitors are among the most talented and innovative in the industry, and we want to recognize them for their creative and outstanding work,” said Randi Mohr, co-director and vice president, NY NOW. “NY NOW’s Best New Product and Best Exclusive Launch Awards will shine a spotlight on the standout products across the market and we encourage all of our exhibitors to submit for consideration.”
NY NOW’s Best Exclusive Launch Award
NY NOW’s Best Exclusive Launch Award will recognize a standout product that is making its official debut exclusively at the winter 2016 market. To be considered, exhibitors must be selected as part of the Destination: NEW product display and must meet the required criteria of the display. The winner of the Best Exclusive Launch Award will be selected onsite at NY NOW.
NY NOW’s Best New Product Awards
For the first time, NY NOW has unified its popular Best New Product Awards under one program to recognize and celebrate the exceptional offerings from exhibitors across the market. Of the pre-submitted entries, one winner will be selected from nine of the sections within the HOME, LIFESTYLE and HANDMADE Collections. Categories will include:
HOME Collection
– Home Furnishings + Textiles
– Tabletop + Gourmet Housewares
LIFESTYLE Collection
– Baby + Child
– Gift
– Personal Accessories
– Personal Care + Wellness
HANDMADE Collection
– Handmade Designer Maker
– Handmade Global Design
– Artisan Resource
All NY NOW exhibitors are encouraged to submit, but all entries must meet the following criteria in order to be considered:
– Exhibitors may submit one product for consideration in the section that they
are exhibiting.
– All submitted products must be new to the market as of Sept. 1, 2015.
– Products must be completely new introductions. They cannot be re-introductions or color/material changes to existing products.
– A single entry represents no more than one single item or one set of items
packaged together for retail sale (items cannot be sold separately).

Winners of the Best New Product Awards will be determined onsite at the market as judged by a panel of industry experts and members of the media after visiting each qualifying exhibitor’s booth to see the products first-hand.
In addition, the Accent on Design Awards will recognize excellence in design and innovation. Winners are selected by the Accent on Design selection committee based on creativity, ingenuity, innovation, function, originality and design.
