NYC Restaurant Week Coincides with Winter 2010 NYIGF

White Plains, NY — One of New York City’s most popular semi-annual promotions, NYC Restaurant Week™, will return January 25–February 7, 2010, conveniently coinciding with the winter edition of the New York International Gift Fair® (NYIGF®), which takes place January 30–February 4. During “Restaurant Week,” more than 200 of the City’s hottest new and established restaurants offer signature dishes for a fraction of the usual price.

Participating restaurants, located throughout Manhattan and the boroughs, represent both casual and formal dining in a variety of cuisines. Prices for the program are the same at each location, with $24.07 three-course prix-fixe lunches and $35 three-course prix-fixe dinners (excluding beverage, tax and gratuity). Prices are available weekdays only, although restaurants have the option to offer the program on Sundays.

“New York City is renowned as one of the world’s top culinary destinations,” said Dorothy Belshaw, NYIGF director and GLM senior vice president. “New York Restaurant Week gives NY Market participants affordable access to superlative dining.”

Among the acclaimed eateries participating in NYC Restaurant Week again this winter are Aureole, B. Smith, Brasserie 44, Inakaya New York, Kellari Pareo, Les Halles – Park Ave South, Mr. Chow New York – 57th Street, Russian Tea Room and Todd English’s Olives. Several buzz-worthy new establishments, including A Voce Restaurant in Time Warner Center, The Libertine and Sho Shaun Hergatt, also will participate.

A complete list of participating restaurants and a selection of prix-fixe menus from various restaurants is available online at www.nycgo.com/restaurantweek. Reservations can be made online as well, and are strongly encouraged for this highly-anticipated event.

NYIGF, which takes place at the Javits Center and Passenger Ship Terminal Pier 94, is the nation’s premier gift, home and lifestyle marketplace, with 2,700 exhibiting companies featuring an extraordinary breadth and depth of design-driven home fashion products and complementary giftware. Some 31,000 attendees from all 50 states and 85 countries are expected. For information and registration, visit www.nyigf.com.
