Online registration now open for 2009
(WHITE PLAINS, NY) – With one quick visit to www.nyigf.com, retailers can now register online for the winter edition of the New York International Gift Fair (NYIGF), January 25-29, 2009. The NYIGF website is also designed to help attendees set their shopping strategy and plan their visit to New York with sophisticated advance planning tools, such as an Online Catalog Gallery, Directory Search and Hotel & Travel discounts.
Admission to NYIGF for retailers is free with advance registration. Through nyigf.com, new registrants can easily request a badge and go through the credentialing process. Attendees of past shows can update their contact information, and add or delete names of additional staff members attending market.
Through the website’s Online Catalog Gallery, which is accessible at www.nyigf.com/catalog, NYIGF attendees can preview and keyword search product information specific to their needs and interests. This interactive planning tool, which was launched prior to the summer 2008 NYIGF, generated more than 3.5 million catalog page views and nearly 6,000 qualified leads from retailers around the world. Show management expects that some 300 catalogs, and nearly 100,000 products will be posted between now and January.
“NYIGF’s Online Catalog Gallery is an ideal tool for buyers who want to save time by previewing specific product categories,” said Dorothy Belshaw, NYIGF director. “Not only can users find a wealth of product information, they can make contact with suppliers, review product availability and schedule appointments in advance of market.”
Another online tool available to attendees is the website’s Directory Search, which allows users to search for exhibitors by company name, product category, keyword or location at market.
An additional advantage for attendees using nyigf.com is access to travel and hotel discounts. Travel Planners, the official travel partner of the NYIGF, offers a straight-forward reservations process, and guarantees the lowest rates at official show hotels. Hotel confirmations are immediate, no pre-payment is required, and reservations can be updated or canceled online at any time without fees or penalties. Travel Planners also offers the lowest web-based fares on preferred airlines, and up to 20% in additional airfare discounts.
NYIGF is the nation’s premier gift and home accessory marketplace, with 2,900 exhibitors featuring an extraordinary breadth and depth of design-driven home fashion products and complementary giftware. Some 36,000 buyers from around the world are expected to attend.
The 156th semi-annual edition runs Sunday, January 25, through Thursday, January 29, 2009, at New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center and Passenger Ship Terminal Piers 90, 92 and 94. NYIGF is held concurrently with Home Textiles Market Week at NYIGF (at the Javits Center and Piers 90, 92 and 94), 230 Fifth Avenue and 7 West 34th Street. Additional information, registration and on-line advance planning tools are available at www.nyigf.com.
